Accessibility at The Pink Picnic.
Salford Pride is dedicated to making sure all our events are accessible to everyone. We want everyone to have the best possible experience.
For those with a disability that wish to use our accessibility queue this can be done simply by purchasing an accessible entry ticket, an application form does not need to be completed.
Salford Pride will have the following general accessibility facilities at The Pink Picnic 2025 for those with a disability:
Dedicated accessible entry and queue
Wheelchair friendly toilets across the event site
BSL interpreters on the main stage
Accessibility champions to assist those with any issues
Additional Carer Ticket
For those with a disability that have purchased a ticket and require an additional ticket for a carer, please contact accessibility@salfordpride.org.uk and the request will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Please ensure to include your ticket reference number in the email to ensure our team can find your ticket purchase via Skiddle.
Accessibility Area Access
An application is required for wheelchair users, those with mobility needs or those with pastoral care needs that require access to dedicated seating, easy access to wheelchair friendly toilets and easier viewing of our main stage.
Please note that before applying you will need to purchase an accessible entry ticket and have your ticket reference number to hand, applications can only be made after a ticket has been purchased.
How to apply to make use of our accessibility area facilities
To be eligible to use our accessibility area you must be able to supply one of the following documentation that is dated within the last 12 months OR with a valid date covering the event. We accept PDF, photographs and documents on the form.
The front page of DLA letter with PIP letter showing the start and end dates of your entitlement
The front page of Attendance Allowance letter
Evidence of being registered as severely sight impaired (blind)
Recognised Assistance Dog ID card.
If you are not in receipt of any of the above, you can supply the following to support your application and it will be reviewed on a case by case basis:
At Salford Pride we understand that the evidence above is not definitive. If you do not have any of the above evidence but wish to apply for access to our accessibility area at The Pink Picnic you can still do so through the form, however, this will be reviewed through a case by case basis.
Doctors/Specialist Letter or Personal Statement confirming why you require the services requested
Once you have submitted your application you will receive a copy of your form to your email address and we aim to contact you within 10 working days.
As The Pink Picnic approaches, we will send an information pack that will include key contact details, maps showing the facilities and any other key information.

In the event that a guests accessibility needs change on the day of or the week leading up to the event which results in a guest not being able to submit an application, please ask for a member of the Salford Pride team on entry who will be able to provide assistance. Our team will be identifiable by their Salford Pride branded t-shirt and credentials. Please be advised security, volunteers or day staff may not be able to assist please ensure to speak with a member of the Salford Pride team.
