As The Pink Picnic grows, new health and safety regulations will be in effect. These include NEW alcohol restrictions, please see below for further details.

To speed through the ticket checking area, please use clear bags where possible.

Trolleys, suitcases or carts, etc are not permitted to be brought on site. All bags, pack lunch boxes, cooler boxes, backpacks or rucksacks MUST be smaller than 50cm x 50cm.

PLEASE BE ADVISED BAG CHECKS WILL BE IN PLACE AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE EVENT. SALFORD PRIDE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DENY ENTRY IF ANYONE IS FOUND TO BE IN BREACH OF ANY OF THE BELOW RESTRICTIONS.


NEW - No alcohol to be brought on site

Due to key issues that arise each year with alcohol being brought on site, Salford Pride have made the decision from 2025 to ban alcohol being brought into the event space. Vendors will be onsite for guests to purchase all types of alcohol at affordable prices and food and soft drinks are still permitted for guests to enjoy the picnic vibes.

  • NO ALCOHOL is permitted to be brought into the event space, any alcohol attempted to be brought in or smuggled in to the event space will be CONFISCATED and disposed of.

Cherish the planet - reduce our carbon footprint

As part of Salford Pride’s enhanced health & safety regulations, and to cement our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint, the following items will NOT be allowed within the event space.

  • GLASS or GLASS BOTTLES.

  • SINGLE USE PLASTIC. This relates to both FOOD and SOFT DRINKS. Please bring soft drinks in either a can or carton, water filling stations will be available, please bring an empty reusable water bottle with you. Please also ensure to bring FOOD in non-plastic wrappers or containers, this includes crisp and sweet wrappers. Food donations boxes will be available on the day for any long-life non-perishable foods to be donated to a local food bank.

    Any fresh food or soft drinks that are in single use plastic packaging will not be permitted to be brought into the event space and will be CONFISCATED and disposed of on entry. If guests have a medical condition that requires certain food or drink to be brought on site in specific packaging please highlight this to security on entry.

General Entry Restrictions - items that are not permitted on site

For public safety and to be within the law the below items are restricted from being brought into the event space. Any person that is found to be in breach of these restrictions will be denied entry or asked to leave site:

  • RECREATIONAL DRUGS.

  • SHARP OBJECTS, KNIVES or WEAPONS.

  • BARBECUES & FIRE-PITS.

  • GASOLINE, GAS CANISTERS & AEROSOLS. Lighters & vapes are ok.

  • GAZEBO’S & MARQUEES.

  • PLASTIC GARDEN FURNITURE, TABLES & NON-FOLDABLE CHAIRS. Foldable chairs & blankets are ok.

  • CONFETTI & CONFETTI CANONS

  • BIKES & SCOOTERS. Prams & mobility scooters are allowed.

Waste disposal - got waste then bin it!

Waste bins will be provided through out the venue. We encourage you to take home your litter. Please do not leave litter in the park. If you leave your litter in the park the volunteers, who will have worked all day, will need to clear the park before we hand it back to Salford Council, we ask guests to do your bit and put any waste in the bin.

Pets are welcome at The Pink Picnic

The Pink Picnic is a pet-friendly event however we do ask that pets are kept on a lead at all times. Pets should be comfortable with large crowds, other pets and children.
